Our Management Accounting & Financial Analysis team provide a range of services including: coordination of budget processes; development of budget statements; Parliamentary Estimates preparation; management of internal budgets; provision of financial information for key performance indicators; financial analysis and advice on budgeting and forecasting; and internal financial reporting. Opportunities Level 3 Financial Planning and Analysis Officer – prepares and assists in the preparation of various internal and external financial reports and statutory returns, performs budget analysis and provides financial management services to designated directorates. Level 4 Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Officer – assists in the preparation of various internal and external financial reports (including the Annual Report and State Budget Papers), monitors budgets and maintains financial costing models for the costing of services; works collaboratively with managers and staff to ensure high‑quality service. Level 4 Project Officer – provides administrative support to the manager and project team to support successful project delivery and assist other teams. Level 5 Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst – responsible for the monthly financial report packages and provides analyses on major variances with appropriate strategies; ensures the integrity of budget information and assists in the annual budget development and quarterly review process. Level 6 Senior Project and Financial Planning Analyst – prepares and monitors budgets, develops and maintains reports including the Executive Management Report, coordinates project support and works collaboratively with managers. Level 6 Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst – monitors budgets, maintains information in the Treasury Strategic Information Management System (SIMS), develops and maintains financial costing models and prepares reports including the Executive Management Report; works collaboratively with managers. Level 6 Senior Financial Accountant – coordinates and prepares monthly reporting, prepares annual financial statements, reviews monthly balance‑sheet reconciliation and develops and maintains policies consistent with whole‑of‑government policies, accounting standards and legislation. What is the Talent Register? The Management Accounting Talent Register is an online portal that allows you to register your interest for full‑time and part‑time opportunities that are: Fixed‑term / secondment opportunity for up to 12 months. Transfer at level for existing permanent public‑sector employees. The register is actively monitored, and applicants may be contacted if an opportunity arises suiting their skills and experience. Once you apply, your CV will stay on the register until 30 June 2026, after which you will need to re‑apply. This talent register will be used to fill a number of short‑term vacancies (up to 12 months) across the Business Services Division. You can be appointed directly via a streamlined process as opportunities become available. There is no guarantee that an offer of employment will be made while an application remains on the register.
