The Whole Family Team (WFT) is a dynamic, multi-disciplinary service that delivers specialist in-home and community-based support to adults and their families facing complex mental health and/or drug and alcohol challenges, particularly where children have been identified as being at risk of significant harm. Operating under an assertive outreach model, the team works intensively with families over a twelve-month period to provide sustained, meaningful intervention. Clinicians within the WFT bring diverse professional backgrounds and a wide range of specialist skills in mental health and substance use and are actively supported to apply their expertise in a way that is responsive to each family's unique needs. Applicants for this position must be of Aboriginal descent through parentage, identify as an Aboriginal person and be accepted in the community as such. Must also hold current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel Relevant qualifications and experience in a mental health setting, including: Occupational Therapist - Recognised tertiary qualifications & registration with AHPRA Counsellor - Counselling qualification with ACA L3-4 registration or PACFA Clinical Registrant status Social Worker - Minimum bachelor's degree & eligibility for membership of AASW Nursing - Relevant post-registration qualification & a minimum 3 years' experience in a mental health setting Senior Psychologist - Four year degree in psychology & registered as a psychologist with AHPRA Demonstrated experience and competence in family focused, evidence based psychosocial assessment and intervention with a complex caseload in a community setting. Demonstrated advanced reasoning skills with proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team with minimal direct clinical supervision Demonstrated capacity to act as an independent consultant and clinical leader in the specialty area of family focused mental health Demonstrated partnership building and negotiation skills with a wide range of service providers and well developed understanding of the interface between services Demonstrated knowledge of the historical and contemporary issues which may impact on Australian Aboriginal family functioning and ability to provide a culturally appropriate service Evidence of an advanced level of verbal/written communication skills, analytical and interpersonal skills and the ability to apply these skills to contribute to the Whole Family Team ongoing evaluation, monitoring and enhancement of service delivery Need more information?
