Medical Receptionist (12 month parental leave contract) Location: Geraldton, Western Australia, Australia. Employment type: Contract (full time, Monday to Friday, 7:45am – 5:00pm with 45 minute lunch break). Contract length: 12 months, starting January 2026. Role Overview As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients. Your Responsibilities Greeting patients warmly and assisting with check‑in procedures. Answering emails and phone calls promptly, handling inquiries professionally. Advising patients on preparation prior to relevant scans. Billing procedures – private, Medicare, workers compensation, and DVA. Collaborating with clerical and technical staff, radiologists, and referrers. Training as a contact centre agent to assist as required: Answer phone calls promptly and handle inquiries professionally. Multi‑task across platforms and manage the appointment calendar. What We’re Looking For Clear verbal and written communication skills. Strong organisational abilities to manage appointments and patient flow. Confidence working across multiple screens and systems. Availability to work a Saturday shift every 6 weeks – either 9:00am‑12:00pm or 8:00am‑11:00am.
