Part‑Time, ongoing position About ELMHS ELMHS provides a range of mental health services to pregnant mothers, infants, children and adolescents and their families within the Southern Region. The organisational and clinical model has been developed to provide mental health care that is flexible and responsive to the individual and developmental needs of the perinatal to youth populations and their families. As such, this model will support the provision of integrated mental health care for young people, guided by consistent, service‑wide protocols and principles of care. About the Role We are seeking a motivated and professional ward clerk to join the Early in Life Mental Health Service (ELMHS) team located at our Oasis Inpatient unit at Monash Childrens Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vital public health service by delivering high‑quality front reception and administrative support across multiple sites. In this role, you will: Provide efficient and effective clerical support to ward staff, patients and visitors Actively support the functioning of the ward Act as a resource for other staff and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Provide welcoming and responsive front‑line customer service to clients, families, and staff. Support the service’s information management functions, including accurate data entry and maintenance of client records. Assist with operational and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day functioning of the service. About You You are a compassionate and reliable professional who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment. You demonstrate integrity, accountability, and respect in all interactions and are committed to delivering person‑centred service. To be successful in this role, you will have: Minimum of two years’ experience in a reception/administrative role (experience in a mental health or healthcare setting is desirable). Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service. Proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality. Proficiency in using administrative systems and databases.
