Ocius Technology is an Australian company dedicated to developing and deploying cutting edge Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USVs). Our vessels harness wind, solar and wave power to remain at sea collecting vital data for Defence and Civilian applications. We are under contracts with RAN, RNZN and USA and are responding in an agile way to an ambitious program of building and deploying multiple USVs for operations around Australia and beyond. About the Role The IT Manager will lead our ICT support function, ensuring that our corporate and operational IT systems and infrastructure are operating at a high‑level. This role is instrumental in providing the backend support to keep our Bluebottle fleet growing and operating. The IT Services team manages our Hardware, Software and Networks to ensure we remain operational on and off‑water. Typical Day Overseeing day‑to‑day IT operations, ensuring reliable and efficient service delivery Managing our IT team, providing mentorship and facilitating career growth and development Identifying opportunities for technology upgrades and process enhancements Selection Criteria Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and core concepts (identity, security, collaboration tools) Experience managing a suite of corporate and operational support systems for example AWS cloud, AV & VC systems, ticketing, and procurement Proven ability to lead and manage an internal IT team, including performance oversight and development Experience in strategic and operational IT planning, including budgeting and roadmap creation Understanding of ISO 27001 and ability to implement security controls and governance Excellent communication skills to engage with executive stakeholders and translate technical concepts into business language If you're an experienced people manager looking to help mentor and shape an evolving team, we encourage you to apply Due to the nature of our business, we require Australian Citizenship for all roles and the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance.
