ABOUT THE ROLE The Senior Relationship Executive is a key leadership role within the AIHS, responsible for driving organisational growth through high‑value customer and stakeholder relationships. Sitting on the AIHS Leadership Team, this role leads the strategic and tactical development of Corporate Membership, Sponsorship, Exhibition, and Advertising revenue. The role is accountable for delivering a strong and predictable sales pipeline, cultivating new business opportunities, and stewarding long‑term partnerships that advance the Institute’s mission. It requires a high‑performing, outcomes‑focused professional who can operate with confidence, influence, and credibility across corporate Australia, while collaborating internally to support the broader strategic objectives of the Institute. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and execute strategic sales and business development plans to achieve financial targets across Corporate Membership, Sponsorship, Exhibition and Advertising. Identify emerging trends, market opportunities and customer needs to build a sustainable pipeline of prospective partners. Design, deliver and refine the customer value proposition to enhance acquisition, retention and share of wallet. Lead the development of compelling proposals, pitch decks, tailored packages and partnership concepts based on customer goals and AIHS strategic priorities. Relationship & Account Management Build, nurture and manage high‑value relationships across key industry partners, sponsors, corporate members, regulators and senior WHS leaders. Develop and implement strategic account plans to deepen engagement, increase renewal rates and support long‑term partnership success. Maintain consistent and professional communication with partners to ensure satisfaction, alignment and clear visibility of AIHS offerings and outcomes. Represent the AIHS at key industry events, conferences, forums and meetings as a professional ambassador of the Institute. Develop accurate sales reporting frameworks that support pipeline transparency, active opportunity management and forecasting accuracy. Monitor performance against KPIs and revenue targets, taking proactive steps to address risks and maximise opportunities. Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of sponsorship entitlements and partner value. Internal Collaboration & Leadership Contribute actively to the AIHS Leadership Team, supporting cross‑functional decision making, culture and organisational performance. Provide insights and customer intelligence that inform product development, pricing, conference programming and membership strategy. Champion an outward‑facing, member‑centric partnership‑oriented culture across the organisation. Other duties as required Skills, Qualifications and Experience Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience Demonstrated success in B2B sales, relationship management and commercial negotiation. Proven ability to achieve and exceed revenue targets in a professional services, membership, NFP or corporate environment. Experience designing and delivering successful business development strategies that translate to measurable growth. Experience collaborating across internal teams in a small‑to‑medium organisation where adaptability and agility are essential. Strong experience presenting to senior leaders and influencing decision‑makers. Skills & Attributes Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build trust quickly. High‑level stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building capability. Strong data literacy, including pipeline analysis, forecasting and revenue modelling. Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage complexity. Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities under pressure. Strong professional presentation and facilitation skills. Ability to resolve conflict constructively and maintain professionalism in challenging situations. High degree of emotional intelligence, resilience and discretion. Operates with integrity, transparency and professionalism as an ambassador of the AIHS. Demonstrates initiative, accountability and a strong results orientation. Works collaboratively and contributes positively to team culture, supporting a safe and respectful workplace.
