Group Sales Executive

Job Title Group Sales Executive Company Novotel Hotels (Accor Group) Location Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Job Description We are seeking a full‑time Group Sales Executive to join our team. Reporting to the Reservations Manager, you will play an integral role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of all group reservations operations with the objective of maximising room and rate yield at the hotel. Responsibilities Manage all non‑catering group bookings of 10+ rooms, including PCO group blocks (inventory, payments, setup). Respond to group enquiries via phone/email within 24 hours and ensure accurate reservation input for the upcoming 3 months. Coordinate group details such as rooming lists, payments, cancellations, prepayments, routing, vouchers, and group information sheets. Maintain clear communication regarding group requirements and special requests between Departments. Produce required reports such as Group Wash, Business Turndown, and 3‑month Group Forecasts. Ensure VIP and complimentary room night procedures are followed correctly. Maintain strong relationships with PCOs, travel agents, airlines, and corporate partners to drive group business. Handle guest enquiries and complaints professionally and keep the Reservations Manager informed of any guest feedback. Assist with additional tasks as directed by the Reservations Manager. Qualifications Proven sales and reservations experience in a hotel environment is highly desirable. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Skilled as a negotiator, solution‑focused for clients, and possessing an excellent ability to multitask and prioritise. Collaborative mindset, confidently engaging with teams from across the business. Essential knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, with experience in OPERA Cloud being highly preferable.
