We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Executive Officer to provide strategic and operational support to the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO). This pivotal role ensures the smooth flow of information, manages executive requests, and escalates sensitive issues to enable the CPO to achieve strategic objectives. What you’ll do You are an experienced professional with strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, anticipate challenges, and deliver solutions that align with strategic priorities. You will play a key role in providing strong leadership and coordinated support to the Chief Procurement Officer to meet the strategic and operational elements of the Directorate. This includes bringing stakeholders together to work collaboratively across a range of areas. You will act as a trusted liaison between the CPO and internal / external stakeholders, including the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), to ensure timely progress on procurement initiatives. Your ability to translate instructions into actionable outcomes and maintain strong relationships will be critical to success. What we’re looking for As a Senior Executive Officer, you will provide high level support to the CPO; liaise with key stakeholders within and external to the Directorate and coordinate cross-directorate activities. You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with procurement knowledge who thrives in a collaborative environment. As a Senior Executive Officer, you will have Demonstrated excellent level verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, and other key stakeholders. Demonstrated high level competence in preparing reports and complex correspondence within strict timeframes. Demonstrated ability and experience working at a senior management level in monitoring budgets and administrative processes, in a large and complex organisation. Sound knowledge of NSW Government procurement frameworks, policies, and compliance requirements. Highly developed computer skills with significant experience in using Microsoft office applications and general record management. Excellent negotiation, organisational and problem-solving skills with a commitment to maintain high standards of professional conduct.
