Commercial Lead Non‑Core Location: WaterNSW Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent Overview WaterNSW is seeking an experienced Commercial Lead Non‑Core to join our team. This senior finance leadership role reports to the Head of FP&A and plays a key role in the financial strategy for the non‑core segment, driving performance, governance, and transformation. Key Responsibilities Act as CFO for the non‑core segment, shaping investment priorities and driving operational excellence and financial sustainability. Lead budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis to optimise outcomes. Oversee contract reviews and support development of financial models, cash‑flow analysis and cost frameworks. Deliver scenario modelling and in‑depth financial analysis to inform executive decision‑making. Ensure strong investment frameworks and proactively manage financial and operational risks. Champion continuous improvement and support organisational transformation initiatives. Provide support in building financial literacy across the business and influence key decisions without formal authority. Drive pricing strategies, margin optimisation and support major contract negotiations. What You Bring CA/CPA (or equivalent) and senior finance experience. Strong commercial acumen with hands‑on contract management skills. Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, modelling and business case development. Ability to influence and collaborate without direct authority. Proven track record in governance, risk management and driving change. Current NSW Driver’s Licence. Desirable: Experience in regulated industries.
