The Role - Maintenance Officer Role Overview As the Maintenance Officer (internally known as Maintenance Service Coordinator), you will deliver facilities and building maintenance services for our Melbourne Central location, ensuring compliance with all codes and regulations, meeting service requirements, and maintaining a safe and secure work environment for all building occupants and visitors. This is a fixed-term role until 10 / 02 / 2026 and offers opportunities for growth and development. Key Responsibilities General maintenance and minor repairs throughout the building. Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programmes, including supplier selection and support systems, guaranteeing budgets and standard requirements set by management. Coordinate external contractors onsite and ensure compliance. Complete a daily check of plant equipment, common facilities, and property-specific requirements. Operate within agreed company health and safety procedures, following industry and statutory regulations at all times. Ideal Candidate Unlimited working rights in Australia. National Police Check (valid within 3 months or willingness to obtain). Valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle. Experience within student accommodation or hospitality industry. Trade qualification highly regarded. Confident computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. Safety-first mindset and understanding of basic OH&S principles and chemical handling.
