About The Role Based from our Port Melbourne Head Office, the Production Coordinator will work closely with the design team and other key departments within the business to plan and organise the full production process from sampling through to delivery. You will also lead sample and garment fittings multiple times per week. This role will help you strengthen your existing knowledge in garment construction and fittings along with building on the ability to manage key critical paths within the business. Responsibilities Manage the end to end process for each style from sampling, pricing, ordering, production, packaging through to delivery. Communicate daily with suppliers to ensure all sampling and production timelines are met and on track and communicating any changes, delays etc to the affected stakeholders. Managing the production schedule and sample trackers. Answering day-to-day questions from suppliers. Tracking all samples from submission to suppliers, through until receipt, following up where appropriate and then checking off all samples, against sketches, CADs, lookbooks etc. Liaise with freight forwarders and couriers to monitor shipments and meet delivery timelines and assist with any required customs documentation. Arranging all bulk deliveries from suppliers to Mossman’s warehouse and international wholesalers and notify each party accordingly. Leading garment fittings, noting all comments and communicating to suppliers. Assist with managing supplier performance and secure improvements in price, quality, delivery, development times etc. Organise trims/lab dips/strike off and sourcing requests. Liaising with internal departments to streamline processes and ensure business efficiency. Communicate with international wholesale customers regarding orders, freight and delivery and quality control. Overseas travel to visit suppliers as required. Skills & Experience Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar production based role. An understanding and knowledge of fabrications and garment construction. Experience in garment fitting. A high level of organisation, ability to multitask and work under pressure to set timelines. Clear communication skills both verbal and written. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Advanced use and understanding of Microsoft Excel. The ability to problem solve and take initiative.
