We are Plastic Wax – an independent and award-winning animation studio specializing in pre‑rendered and in‑engine animation, visual effects, motion capture, compositing, and a turnkey variety of creative services. For nearly 30 years our talented crew have worked with some of the world’s most beloved properties, including Mortal Kombat, Game of Thrones, Epic Mickey, Subnautica, and many more. Check out some of our projects: We are currently taking applications for Production Coordinators. Responsibilities: Coordinating the tasks and assignments of the team according to the Production Schedule Monitor progress and completion of tasks across multiple projects Package and deliver asset and design shipments per the production schedule Manage and coordinate the flow and tracking of production assets Track all reviews and comments from Directors and Supervisors through ShotGrid Attend production meetings and provide support to the Production team Represent the company in a professional manner in any dealings with the team and the client Organise dailies, rounds and project meetings, take and distribute notes Organise and set up media for review sessions Ensure statuses and task assignments are kept up to date Ensure teams are clear on daily delivery objectives and their weekly targets/quotas Ensure effective communication and continual team updates across the floor Ensure project scope, status and completion information is up to date in Shotgrid Ensure work is being approved and completed on time and to specification Facilitate crew OT approvals from Producer and HOP Qualifications & Skills: 1‑2 years in a Production Coordinator role minimum Experience in production on CG/VFX or Game animation projects Knowledge of animation pipeline from end to end Understanding of visual effects terminologies and processes Team oriented Fluent with Shotgrid, Google Suite, Photoshop and other Industry Standard packages Must have the right to work in Australia Ability to liaise and collaborate with clients, artists and producers Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail Ability to take accurate notes Highly organised with good time management skills Stylish Sydney office with hybrid work approach Competitive salary or day rates Supportive work environment with an emphasis on career progression Work on world renowned IPs Application Requirements: Availability Day rate in AUD Right to work in Australia/Visa status and any relevant information Plastic Wax is an equal‑opportunity employer.
