Purpose The Production Coordinator plays a key supporting role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the production process. This position assists the Production Manager by coordinating daily schedules, monitoring job progress, maintaining accurate documentation, and facilitating clear communication between production, logistics, and other departments. The role contributes to achieving production targets, maintaining product quality, and upholding workplace safety and compliance standards, ensuring that all work is completed on time, in full, and to specification. Key Responsibilities Support the Production Manager in coordinating daily production activities. Assist in organising and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace. Ensure all health, safety, and quality procedures are followed by the production team. Prepare and update daily and weekly production schedules as directed. Liaise with production staff, logistics, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow. Monitor job progress and provide updates to the Production Manager. Support inventory management by checking stock levels and coordinating material requirements. Assist with production documentation, reporting, and data entry tasks. Identify and report any production delays, equipment issues, or quality concerns. Production plans are updated accurately and on time. All production documentation is complete and filed correctly. Communication between departments is clear and timely. No missed or delayed jobs due to scheduling or coordination issues.Workplace is maintained in a clean and organised state. All WHS requirements are followed with zero incidents or near misses. Assist with production scheduling, job creation, and monitoring progress. Prepare production folders, labels, and reports as needed. Enter and maintain production data, timesheets, and job tracking spreadsheets. Support weekly production meetings by taking minutes and distributing action items. Track inventory levels and liaise with purchasing/logistics to maintain adequate stock. Assist with generating delivery documentation and coordinating shipments. Communicate daily production goals to relevant staff. Monitor workflow and ensure jobs are progressing as scheduled. Report any delays or quality issues to the Production Manager. Support the coordination of staff movements and job allocations. Assist with maintaining warehouse and production area cleanliness. Provide administrative and operational support to the Production and Operations Managers. Assist the SHEQ team with safety, quality, and compliance recordkeeping. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture. Key relationships Dealers and partners across Australia and the Asia Pacific region. Education, Work Experience & Skills required, Personal Qualities (Selection Criteria) Education: Certificate III or IV in Manufacturing, Engineering, Production Management, or a related discipline (preferred). Tertiary qualification in Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management (advantageous but not essential). Demonstrated experience in a production, scheduling, or coordination role within a manufacturing environment. Current WHS training or forklift licence (desirable). Work Experience and Skills 2–3 years’ experience in a production, coordination, or scheduling role within a manufacturing environment. Effective communication and teamwork skills across production, logistics, and administration teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Understanding of manufacturing or machining processes and reading drawings (advantageous). Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality and compliance standards. Personal Attributes Self-motivated with a proactive approach, demonstrating initiative and drive. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Additional Requirements Proficient in English , with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats, including technical discussions, reporting, documentation, and correspondence with colleagues and clients.
