Overview The role is based at Launceston General Hospital (LGH). You will be part of a 24/7 radiology department that handles over 70,000 examinations annually. The Role Perform basic and fluoroscopic radiography imaging examinations, generating images of the highest diagnostic value while using ionising radiation. Ensure compliance with the ‘as low as reasonably achievable’ (ALARA) principle with ionising and non‑ionising radiation. Provide imaging support and liaise with staff and patients regarding general radiography. Qualifications & Eligibility Registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia. Fourth‑year students (2024) eligible to apply pending full registration. Meet the essential criteria outlined in the Statement of Duties. Salary and Benefits Salary: $73,834 to $111,364 per annum (includes 12% superannuation). Allowances: living expenses up to $9,010, meal entertainment $2,650 per FBT year, professional development allowance up to $1,000 per annum, market allowance $10,000 per annum pro‑rata until 31 May 2026. Benefits: travel & relocation assistance (up to $15,000), accelerated professional development pathways, 20 days annual leave (pro‑rata), 20 days personal leave (pro‑rata), study assistance leave, fitness passport (access to 40+ fitness facilities; $13.95 per week per person, $25.95 for a family).
