About The Role As an Assistant Manager in our Audit & Assurance division, you’ll play a key role in leading projects, managing teams, and delivering high-quality audit solutions for a diverse client base. You’ll be responsible for overseeing multiple engagements, providing technical expertise, and building strong client relationships. This role offers the opportunity to mentor and develop junior staff, contribute to business growth, and work closely with partners and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Identify and address technical accounting and audit issues; Review financial statements to ensure compliance with Accounting Standards and preparation of reports and opinions to management; Perform reviews of audit work; Summarise the key areas of the engagement for the partner; Conduct various audit engagements simultaneously with numerous engagement team members per audit; Assist with management and co-ordination of the audit team including training, mentoring and methodology compliance; Monitor staffing requirements and future resource planning issues; and Assist partners and managers in business development and marketing activities. About You You’re a driven audit professional with a passion for delivering quality outcomes and building strong client relationships. Your strong technical skills, attention to detail, and collaborative approach set you apart. Demonstrated Experience & Attributes 4–5 years’ audit experience, ideally with some team management exposure CA qualification (or equivalent) and a degree in Business/Commerce (Accounting major) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities Sound knowledge of the Corporations Act, Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards Previous experience managing or mentoring a team (desirable) Life At RSM RSM provides a great environment to build skills and confidence and we help our people achieve their best.
