Our bakehouse is growing, and we now have an opportunity for a Trade qualified Pastry cook with Plant Bakery experience to join our team of cake-loving individuals in Keilor Park, VIC and be part of baking history. HOW YOU WILL RISE TO THE OCCASION In this role, you will produce a wide variety of baked goods including pies and celebration cakes, while utilising a range of skills from running high speed processing equipment to manual handling ingredients and finished product. Core duties Produce a range of pastry and cake products utilising your trade skills and plant bakery experience. Set‑up and monitor production to maximise quality and minimise waste. Ensure production targets are met whilst ensuring HACCP quality and safety adherence at all times. Provide leadership in continuous improvement and team effectiveness. Importantly, you will follow health and safety standards while ensuring that your area is clean and maintained at all times. Please Note: public transport is quite challenging in this area and as such you will need a car to get here. THE INGREDIENTS YOU’LL NEED We are looking for individuals who are passionate about baking and making people happy, and who have the right attitude To create a recipe for success, you will bring with you the following ingredients (attributes) : Trade qualification or at least 5 years relevant experience Sound understanding of Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) and Quality Plant baking experience A dash of enthusiasm A large splash of passion and creativity A sprinkle of positivity and optimism A dollop of teamwork and collaboration Willingness to learn Previous experience working in a fast‑paced food environment (plant bakery, large commercial kitchen or equivalent) is essential.
