Are you an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist looking for a new challenge? We have a new opportunity for a part time Clinical Psychologist to join our CAMHS Eating Disorders Team, where you will have the opportunity to use and develop your specialist skills. We are seeking a part-time Clinical Psychologist (22.5 hours per week) to join our award‑winning team, recently recognised with the Oxford Health 2024 Flexible Team Award. We invest strongly in staff development, offering training, supervision and specialist interest groups to support skills in interventions such as FT‑AN, CBT (including CBT‑E) and NET. As a senior team member, you will provide supervision, consultation and leadership, with extensive opportunities for further professional development in these areas. You will work within our Specialist Eating Disorders Team, part of a multidisciplinary CAMHS service alongside a Consultant Psychologist, Band 7 Psychologist, Clinical Associate Psychologists, Trainee Psychologists, CBT Trainees/Therapists and Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners. Staff wellbeing is central to our service. We are a highly supportive team, and managers work with you to ensure manageable caseloads and to help you develop special interests. Most clinical work is delivered face to face, with opportunities for regular home working depending on service needs and diary commitments. Main duties of the job Work within a multidisciplinary team including Psychologists, Family Therapists, Psychotherapists, CWPs, Psychiatrists, Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists. Access a range of specialist clinics (e.g., LD, NDC, FT, ED) with opportunities for shared learning and expertise. Deliver high‑quality specialist clinical psychology within the CAMHS Eating Disorder Service. Provide assessment, formulation, risk assessment and evidence‑based care plans for children and young people with eating disorders and complex mental health needs. Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including Salisbury District Hospital. We have a strong psychology network and professional leadership across the 5 CAMHS teams in BSW (Bath and Northeast Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire) and strong links with the Doctoral Training course at Bath University. Benefits Excellent opportunities for career progression Individual and Trust wide learning and development 27 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, rising to 33 days with continuous service NHS Discount Lease car scheme Employee Assistance Programme Mental Health First Aiders Staff accommodation (waiting lists may apply) Staff networking and support groups Person Specification Qualifications Doctoral level training in clinical psychology including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies, and lifespan developmental psychology Current HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist Pre‑qualification training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training and/or other fields of applied psychology Knowledge Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention and management frequently requiring sustained and intense concentration Well developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS Skills in providing consultation to other professional and nonprofessional groups Doctoral level knowledge of research methodology, research design and complex, multivariate data analysis as practised within the clinical fields of psychology Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the HCPC Experience Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of CAMHS clients across the full range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care and in patient settings Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse and threat of physical abuse Experience of working in eating disorder clinics Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. £55,690 to £62,682 a year pro‑rata.
