Aged Social Support Program

At our Healthy Living Centre we offer day activities for elderly participants. Our motto is "Healthy activities for Older People to reach their full potential". These activities allow clients to engage in social interaction, giving them a sense of community and reducing their feeling of isolation and loneliness. We have a shuttle service which picks client up from their home, brings them to the centre and then returns them home at the end of the day. Volunteers are needed at our centre, including where possible, going with the shuttle driver to pick and return clients home. Responsibilities Art and craft with clients Play board games, cards, chess or dominoes with clients Discussions and one to one talks with clients Assisting clients on group trips/outings Assist with active games Assist with exercise/walking Reading with clients Create life story books for clients Assist with serving morning tea and lunch to the clients Promote independence and maximise opportunities for participation Category Community Services Commitment Regular - more than 6 months Type Of Work Arts, Craft & Photography, Companionship & Social Support, Food Preparation & Service #J-18808-Ljbffr
