Oaklands Park, SA 5046 Casual Closing on: Dec Calvary Oaklands - Personal Care Worker The Personal Care Worker is part of an integrated team, providing resident‑centred care and promoting quality outcomes within a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Execute a range of personal care tasks such as daily hygiene (showering, shaving, dressing, mouth and eye care). Observe residents, report changes to the Enrolled Nurse, Registered Nurse, Facility Manager or appropriate person and complete required documentation. Respect each resident, ensuring they are treated with dignity and given the opportunity to make decisions about their day‑to‑day routine. Assist residents requiring mobility assistance as per the care plan, encouraging ambulatory independence. Support residents to live the life they choose, exercising choice and independence. Contribute to the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs and wants of the residents through assessment and observation. Implement clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse and as documented in the resident’s plan of care. What You Bring Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent recognised qualification. Effective interpersonal communication (written and verbal). A desire to join a team committed to the care of others within a mission‑based organisation. Experience in dementia support and ability to engage with residents. Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads. Demonstrated flexibility, empathy and patience with the aged person and their needs. Demonstrated ability to provide holistic care. Demonstrated respect for residents’ privacy, dignity and self‑esteem. Commitment to continuous quality improvement. Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
