Help at Hand Support Services is looking for experienced Disability Support Workers who would like to join us and help make a difference in the lives of people with a disability. In this role you will provide a person‑centred approach, with a daily routine tailored to each client. Tasks might include taking a client to a beach outing, a movie or a game, assisting with a medical appointment, or simply staying with them at home with a cup of tea. This varied work is exciting and rewarding. Key Responsibilities Assist clients with daily activities and outings Provide support for medical and other appointments Offer companionship and encouragement in the home setting Remain calm and composed during crisis situations Maintain accurate records of each shift Requirements Own a fully insured and reliable vehicle Current police check (within 6 months) Cert III in Disability or equivalent experience Working with Children Check First Aid/CPR certificates (current) Full and clean Australian driver’s licence Punctual, reliable and flexible Good written and verbal communication skills Empathetic and proactive with a genuine interest in the field Ability to self‑supervise and remain calm during crisis situations In addition to the above, you must have the right to live and work in Australia.
