About the Role We’re looking for an inspiring and experienced Centre Director to lead our brand-new Lyons Early Learning Centre (ELC) and Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) programs. As Centre Director, you will: Provide strong, intentional leadership across both the ELC and OSHC Ensure high‑quality educational programs and exceptional child safety practices Oversee compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements Act as the Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader for two approved services Build a positive, motivated workplace culture Strengthen partnerships with families and the broader community Drive continuous improvement and professional growth across your teams If you’re ready to bring your leadership, vision and passion to a community‑first organisation—we’d love to hear from you. To be successful for this role, you must possess the following: Bachelor of Teaching/Education (Early Childhood) – 4 years, ACECQA approved Minimum 5 years practical experience in early learning settings At least 2 years in an early learning management role with direct staff supervision Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and mediation skills Proven budget management experience In‑depth knowledge of the National Quality Framework, EYLF & MTOP, and government funding models Commitment to professional boundaries and ethical practices Desirable: Experience with Children’s Services Programme, Three‑Year‑Old Preschool Initiative, and Additional Child Care Subsidy programmes Current First Aid Certificate (including Asthma and Anaphylaxis) Current Working with Vulnerable People Card and Police Check Mandatory Reporting training/refresher within the last 12 months Other Requirements: Current First Aid Certificate (including Asthma and Anaphylaxis) Current Working with Vulnerable People Card and Police Check Mandatory Reporting training/refresher within the last 12 months Why work with Woden Community Services?
