Base pay range A$86,108.00/yr - A$98,186.00/yr About the Role The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is seeking a Budgeting and Administration Assistant to join the Finance and Contracts division. Reporting to the Manager Budget & Financial Planning and based in our East Perth office, this role provides general administrative support to the branch and assists with managing data for PTA’s budget processes. Key Responsibilities Assist with the management and loading of corporate budget and forecasting data, and support improvements to these processes. Prepare reports and information for internal and external stakeholders. Provide general administrative support, including maintaining effective systems and coordinating correspondence, briefings, and reports. Support procurement and contract administration by creating purchase orders and assisting with low‑value contracts in line with PTA and government policies. Undertake ad hoc research, investigations, and other administrative duties as required. About You To excel in this role, you should possess: Relevant financial and administration experience, including data entry and data management in accounting, financial and/ or related disciplines. Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders on financial matters and work collaboratively within a team. Analytical and problem‑solving ability, demonstrated through working with data to identify, resolve, or elevate issues. Solid organisational skills, including effective time management and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring high‑quality outputs in all financial and administrative processes.
