Senior Product Owner - Travel Company: Commonwealth Bank (Retail Banking Services) – Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Salary: A$140,000.00 – A$160,000.00 per annum Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future to over 10 million personal and small business customers. The Consumer Spending Crew oversees the Commonwealth Bank credit cards and key consumer spending propositions, including Travel. As the Senior Product Owner – Travel, you will lead a cross‑functional squad responsible for driving continued growth of the Consumer Spending Travel proposition through product design excellence, innovative embedded digital journeys, strong partnerships and seamless execution. Key Responsibilities Travel Strategy: Design the strategic future state for our travel proposition to meet current and future customer needs and drive continued growth. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture strong working relationships across multiple domains to align on strategic initiatives and prioritise work that delivers outcomes against squad OKRs. Prioritisation and Delivery Excellence: Ensure work is clearly prioritised and effectively distributed to maximise outcomes delivered within quarterly deliverables. Risk Management: Proactively manage risks including performance of regular controls, robust product governance, identification of issues, escalation and swift resolution of issues including remediation. Qualifications & Experience Experience delivering strong outcomes in an Agile environment. Advanced communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills working across risk, digital, operations, delivery, card schemes, compliance and more. Experience in digital design and optimisation and/or an understanding of the digital landscape in the context of Travel. Analytical thinking and data‑driven decision making. Tertiary qualification in a Business or Commerce degree (preferred). Previous work experience in the travel industry (beneficial). Risk mindset – proactive identification and management of risk.
