We are now seeking a Senior Safety Advisor to join our Safety team at our Sunrise Dam Gold Mine. Accountable to the Safety Superintendent. This role is based at the Dam Gold Mine on an 8/5 4/4 FIFO roster, we operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie. Role Purpose As a Senior Safety Advisor; you will coordinate and supervise the Safety Advisors who provide safety, risk and associated advice to all departments focusing on the development and continual improvement of line capability and the use of related systems. This role will also support the Safety Superintendent informed of department and site achievements, risks and trends, and contributes to overall and specific management of threat at operations Accountabilities Direction, support and coordination of the Safety team members Build and develop the Safety Team Dept. talent and capability to continually deliver the Dept. strategy Ensure alignment to Site specific, AGAA and AGA Corporate Safety Strategic Plan Contribute to the development of operational plans for delivering safety services and projects for specific outputs of SDGMs safety strategy Prepare the 30 day plan to deliver quarterly targets Deliver 30 day plans, identify and address variances to plan Demonstrate Safety Leadership and improve the Safety Culture through developing line capability in delivering their safety accountabilities. Oversee critical control monitoring processes for Safety related Major Hazards Relevant reporting to Regulators and internal stakeholders Coordinate and carry out internal safety auditing LGIRS SRS Management Reporting to relevant site stakeholders (GMs, Department Managers and Superintendents, Operations Safety Manager, Project Manager (contractors) or equivalent). To be considered, we would like to see you have: Prior experience in Mining/Heavy Industry related fields Leadership experience in leading multi-facet Safety related teams Tertiary qualifications in a Safety or Risk related field Lead Auditor Certifications or Training. Lead Investigator (ICAM/Tap Root/RCA) Project Management (Desirable) Current WA C Class Driver’s license.
