Total Steel of Australia – Laverton North VIC Total Steel of Australia is currently seekingan energetic individual with demonstrated experiencein a similar role to fill the full-time position of Programmer & Steel Sales to join its' sales team based in Laverton North. Supplying the manufacturing, building and construction, agricultural and mining industries, we have developed a solid reputation within these industries through our proven commitment to quality products, service and a professional Sales team. About the role, job tasks and responsibilities The successful candidate will be experienced in reading workshop drawings and/or data files in order to generate quotations for all steel related enquires and develop all necessary machine CNC programs and scheduling for our processing machines. The role is important to the success of our branch, contributing to the growth and reputation of Total Steel within the steel industry. Your expertise and dedication will be instrumental in securing projects and delivering them efficiently and profitably. You need to be confident in liaising with the existing and potential customer base while demonstrate awareness of all aspects of steel distribution, customer enquiries, orders and not limited to providing solutions or technical assistance if and when required General steel sales and keying orders duties are also required for this position. Skills and experience Knowledge in Autocad, Primecut, and Fastcam or similar programs would be highly regarded in this position. Excellent communication and sound judgement on all levels. Strong time management and organizational skills. Highly motivated with the focus to achieve sales targets. Ideally be a self-starter with the ability to work in a small team environment and not limited to working autonomously. Demonstrate a rational, realistic and practical approach to problem solving and proactive approach to challenges. Knowledge of the steel industry is highly regarded.
