Overview Flintstones Building & Garden Supplies, one of Victoria’s largest resellers of steel reinforcing mesh, pods and accessories, is a division of the Barro Group, a family‑owned business founded in 1946. We supply construction products through our network of locations and branches. Role Full‑time Residential Estimator, based at the Somerton branch, responsible for managing and coordinating customer enquiries related to timely and accurate estimations of take‑offs, creating priced estimates, and communicating with customers and internal sales teams. Responsibilities Maintain positive relationships with customers and internal sales staff. Meet customers' expectations through honest and positive upfront communication. Accurately interpret engineering and architectural plans to estimate reinforcing quantities and quotations. Assist with scheduling coordination and allocation of pods. Share knowledge with stakeholders and address estimating issues. Qualifications Desired attributes include a positive “can do” attitude, the ability to work both in a team environment and individually, strong problem‑solving skills, knowledge of the building industry and/or steel reinforcing experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Previous estimating or scheduling experience is advantageous but not essential.
