Career progression Due to their experience and training, our graduates can progress their careers very quickly. Eighty-seven percent of graduates completing the program stay on to be employed by the Queensland Government post-program. Our graduates' salaries can increase up to $27,000 (based at AO5 level) or more after completing the 2-year program. 1. As an indicator, the minimum AO3 rate under the State Government Entities Certified Agreements 2023 as at 1 July 2025 is $76,217. 2. The role of the project support graduate is to support the project management team by taking responsibility for activities delegated to them. These activities include planning, documenting, monitoring, reporting, configuration management, administering change control and supporting project board meetings. Responsibilities Responsibilities in a project support role may include: contributing to project planning and reporting helping the project team members apply the department’s approved project management methodology preparing reports, presentations, briefs and correspondence tracking project progress including updating Gantt charts assisting with the development of project management communications and training materials. Ideal candidates Ideal candidates for a project support role will have: good communication, interpersonal and liaison skills, and the ability to work well in a team analysis and problem solving skills practical ability with MS Office and MS Project (desirable). Technical skills Knowledge of: Project management (e.g. methodologies such as PRINCE2® or Project Management Body of Knowledge). Project reporting, scheduling and coordination Management of project risks, issues and dependencies. Eligibility To be eligible for the Digital Graduate Program, you must: Have completed (or will complete) a Bachelor’s, Graduate Certificate, or Master’s degree between January-2023 and December 2026. If you have an overseas qualification, it must be recognised in Australia prior to applying.
