We strive to create a high-quality working life for our community of valued employees.We strive to create a high-quality working life for our community of valued employees.Working with us provides:Access to a Rostered Day Off;Flexibility based on business requirements;Uniquely rewarding work in the service of the Victorian community;Close to Public Transport; (near Parliament Station)Support for education, career and professional development;Enterprise Agreement salary increases;Leave loading;Novated lease options and superannuation salary sacrifice;An unrivalled suite of physical and mental health and wellbeing support services;Access to a yearly sports voucher;Discounted health insurance;Free gym facilitiesAbout the RoleFunctional Accountabilities include:Responsible for providing early intervention counselling services to FRV staff members;Carry a case load of clients through provision of comprehensive and flexible psychological services including; assessment, goals for intervention, treatment planning and evaluation and referrals in accordance with professional, ethical and relevant Mental Health standards;Provide specialist support to FRV staff including Peer Support Officers, HSW staff to deliver best practice mental health and wellbeing services;Provide psychological education and screening services to staff across various sectors;Facilitate referrals and follow up on support services;Deliver service on site and travel to FRV Fire Stations and work locations is required;As part of a rotating roster, you will also assist with on call servicesAbout youTo be considered for this role you must have:Full unconditional registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA); orAccredited as a Mental Health Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) - essential;AHPRA registration as a Board Approved Supervisor (desirable); or AASW Association Accredited Supervisor (desirable),Demonstrated experience in providing psychological counselling services (required) / to Emergency Services / Agencies (operational and/or corporate) desirable;Demonstrated knowledge of Emergency Services organisations and issues related to these working environments, in particular trauma risks (including PTSD, high prevalence disorders, substance use disorders and relationship issues) and organisational culture issues.
