My client is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to service, maintain, and install automated packaging equipment across customer sites. You’ll work on a wide range of machinery including robotics, PLCs, servo drives, conveyors, pneumatics, and mechanical systems. This is a hands‑on, autonomous role where you’ll troubleshoot faults, commission new machinery, support upgrades, deliver operator training, and ensure equipment reliability for a broad customer base. What You’ll Be Doing Service, repair, and maintain automation and packaging machinery Commission new equipment and assist with upgrades/updates Fault‑find electrical, mechanical, PLC, and drive systems Interpret AutoCAD drawings and technical manuals Provide operator and maintenance training Complete service reports and deliver excellent customer service Travel interstate and work extended hours when required What You’ll Bring A Grade Electrical Licence (Victorian) (mandatory) 5 Years experience in field service or industrial maintenance Strong mechanical aptitude (hydraulics, pneumatics, drives, robotics highly regarded) PLC experience – Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Omron Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD electrical/mechanical drawings Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously What’s on Offer Supportive, safety‑focused team culture Real impact on machine performance and productivity Great Salary + Super + Overtime Apply Now If you're a hands‑on technician looking for variety, autonomy, and the chance to work with advanced automation technologies, we want to hear from you.
