Account Manager – Public Sector Partnerships Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Base Pay Range A$100,000.00/yr - A$125,000.00/yr Role Summary Tektalent is partnering with a global technology company to hire a permanent Account Manager who will acquire, activate and maintain a healthy number of partner agencies in Queensland. The role blends account management with warm business development within the partner network. Responsibilities Account portfolio development – acquiring, activating and maintaining a healthy number of partners. New business development – prospecting, qualifying new end‑user opportunities within the partner network. Propose the right solution to end‑user prospects to generate opportunities that lead to proposal inquiries with sales partners. Assist partners in moving identified opportunities through the sales cycle to win the opportunity for the business. Account management – support partners with training, information and technical support. Ensure partners have necessary product certifications to sell the products. Inform the BDM in the territory about all partner opportunities and assign them in CRM. Analyse partner sales performance to improve revenue potential, evaluating weak partners for further support or exclusion. Actively look for new initiatives and activities to accelerate partner capacity to sell products. Provide technical, sales and marketing assistance to partners. Key Attributes & Experience Needed Minimum 3+ years in sales as an Account Manager, Executive, Partner Manager or Channel Manager within technology businesses. Experience selling hardware + SaaS solutions. Proven track record in key account management or related roles within a technology business. Willingness to travel interstate occasionally (not frequent). Ambitious & self‑driven nature to succeed. Ability to work remotely, manage your day and calendar independently. Experience working with a high‑performing BDM in a similar region. Focus on partner relationships rather than net new business. Experience managing Tier‑1 partners within Queensland. Alignment with a global 9‑figure leader and its growth plans. Strong understanding of security/access‑control solutions for enterprise clients. Desire to grow within a rapidly expanding technology powerhouse. Enjoy a flexible, outcome‑based environment, with full expense coverage for travel. Expect a base salary, super, car allowance and bonus structure (OTE realistic & achievable). Value strong training, development and a collaborative culture.
