Employment Type: Full Time / Part Time Position Classification: Dental Off Lvl 1 Remuneration: As per the Award Hours Per Week: 38 Requisition ID: REQ Dental officers Level 1 (year 1 to 4) serve as practicing dentists who perform routine dental work requiring independent examination, investigation, treatment planning, and treatment of patients. These positions are temporary for up to 12 months. The role is suitable for new graduates as well as moderately experienced dentists competent in basic tasks. They may require regular professional support and mentoring. This is a clinical position requiring a full clinical load. Corporate management functions are the responsibility of the Service Manager. Qualifications and Experience: Registered and/or able to be registered with the Dental Board of Australia as a dentist. Demonstrated appropriate levels of knowledge across all areas of general dentistry. Demonstrated ability or potential to carry out a broad range of general dental procedures. Demonstrated ability to accept responsibility and accountability. Desire to provide supervision to undergraduate students on observational placements within CCLHD Oral Health Service Clinics. Demonstrated ability to participate in quality activities and workplace education. Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary clinical team. Current Class C driver licence. Demonstrated understanding of how the District is Caring for the Coast and how this role would contribute.
