Public Relations Account Executive

This is a great opportunity for a PR professional with a minimum of 12 months’ experience implementing PR activities and driving coverage in the Australian (and ideally, New Zealand) media landscape. Responsible for executing day‑to‑day PR activity, you’ll have the opportunity to promote exciting international destinations, cruise lines and tour operators within an integrated team. As Account Executive your role is to support the PR account management teams and execute a range of tasks, including media material development, media and influencer fam trips and event coordination, reporting, media list development and general media monitoring across your suite of clients. We are expanding our team and looking for a highly organised candidate, who is excited about working in the travel industry. Key responsibilities Update WIP documents and meeting notes Draft media materials, pitches and other content to secure exceptional coverage results across traditional and new media platforms Content creation and dissemination for a variety of channels Update social media channels as required Plan, coordinate and host (if required) media & influencer famils Assist in running and hosting events Fulfil all required administrative functions related to the role including expenses, travel booking, database management, client communication Build and maintain professional relationships with key media and clients Create weekly and monthly client and campaign reports (including clipping/saving coverage) as required Maintain press office systems including media database, paper rosters and media kits Support GTI to meet the company’s purpose and mission by contributing to initiatives as outlined in GTI’s sustainability action plan Skills, knowledge & experience The individual would ideally have: Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing/Communications/PR preferred A minimum of 12 months’ experience in relevant field Experience in or exposure to the travel industry and consumer PR Proven understanding of media landscape Strong organisational skills to manage multiple client priorities and projects A confident and warm personality and strong interpersonal communication skills General knowledge of Australian and New Zealand media, digital publishers and the influencer landscape A high-level of attention to detail, typos won’t get past you What else is important?
