Who are we The Westport Club, based on the banks of the Hastings River, is one of Port Macquarie's premier venues that offers our members and guests an a la carte waterfront dining experience in Aqua, a relaxed waterside café experience in Hastings Coffee Co, a thriving events centre, and a pristine bar with arguably the best views in Port Macquarie in Jimmy’s Bar. Whilst your home base will be The Westport Club, you will also have the opportunity to be involved in the food and beverage landscape across the group which creates plenty of variety and the opportunity for an amazing career. Responsibilities Managing our catering and beverage outlets, including providing leadership to a team of 50, coaching and developing the team, recruitment, training, determining resourcing requirements, managing performance and being a role model for our constructive culture by embedding our values every step of the way. Coach and mentor outlet leaders in their leadership of the team, and the accountability and profitability of their outlet. Develop and execute the Food and Beverage business plan in collaboration with other key stakeholders in the organization. Ensure we are delivering a great customer experience in each outlet through team presentation, service style, quality of product and presentation of the outlet. Managing wage, food and beverage costs in line with budgets and developing strategies to stimulate revenue growth across all outlets. Together with the outlet leaders, Head Chefs and marketing team, develop a progressive seasonal menu review for each outlet from design and costing, to implementation. Ensuring compliance with relevant legislations such as food safety and liquor licensing conditions. What success looks like This role is fast‑paced and dynamic, perfect for someone who is an experienced leader in a hospitality venue and looking for their next career move. Qualifications & Requirements Be a values-based leader with experience in developing high performing teams. Have demonstrated financial acumen with some experience managing budgets, P&L management specific to food and beverage outlets, and the ability to implement successful food and beverage operating models. Have a passion for food and beverage. You are fully across the latest trends, love getting creative, and you know the local market. Be confident in connecting and negotiating with suppliers to ensure the most up to date product offerings and contracted pricing. Be an excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders across operation including with our customers.
