Senior Administrator (Training Setting Accreditation) The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia – Surry Hills NSW About the Royal College of Pathologists Australasia The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) is the leading organisation representing pathologists and senior scientists in Australasia. Pathology involves the study of the causes of disease. Pathologists are specialist medical doctors involved in the diagnosis and monitoring of almost all acute and chronic illnesses. The RCPA was established in 1956 and has been responsible for the training and professional development of pathologists since that time. We also provide training programs for senior scientists working in pathology. RCPA has around 4500 members practising in private and public pathology sectors across Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. The College is also responsible for the promotion of the science and practice of pathology. The RCPA is a not-for-profit organisation governed by a Board of Directors. It comprises more than 50 staff members and the office is located in the heritage-listed Durham Hall in Surry Hills, Sydney, NSW. About the Role The Senior Administrator (Training Setting Accreditation) supports the accreditation of pathology training settings and ensures they meet required standards for safe, high-quality training. The role manages accreditation processes end-to-end, coordinates key stakeholders, maintains accurate records, and ensures smooth, compliant operations. Working with a high level of autonomy, this position requires strong judgement, initiative, proactive problem‑solving and exceptional attention to detail. Responsibilities Training Setting Accreditation Prepare the annual plan of training setting accreditation and maintain accurate and transparent communication Review and process accreditation and reaccreditation of training setting applications. Liaise with accreditation panels and the Training Setting Accreditation Committee in relation to accreditation and reaccreditation applications. Conduct an annual review of training settings. Accurately update College records to ensure details of accredited training settings are maintained, including website information. Provide advice and system generated reports to key stakeholders in connection with training setting accreditation. Coordinate training setting visits including liaison with assessor panels and other associated membership bodies. Administer the annual audit of accredited training setting. Provide accredited training setting statistics in a timely and accurate way to stakeholders and the Training Setting Accreditation Committee. Prepare and provide system generated reports highlighting critical incidents and adverse events impacting training programs, registrars, supervisors and training sites. Provide NATA with training setting accreditation reports and information. Support other areas of work related to projects and initiatives by attending meetings and providing executive summaries relating to training setting accreditation projects. Coordinate the delivery of AMC training setting accreditation model standards and procedures. Training Setting Accreditation Committee Schedule and coordinate the annual Training Setting Accreditation Committee meetings including drafting agendas, minutes and action items. Provide secretariat support to the Committee Meetings as required. Update and review policies, guidelines and position statements in relation to the model training setting standards and procedures. Maintain comprehensive records Additional Identify and support opportunities for process improvements and actively contribute to the development of Workflows and Standard Operating Procedures. Actively contribute to the annual monitoring submission to the AMC and relevant College committees. Maintain and ensure information on the website is up to date and accurate in relation to Training Setting Accreditation. Other duties as required About You You will be a proactive, detail‑focused and confident operator who thrives on keeping complex processes running smoothly. With strong judgement and a collaborative approach, you take pride in delivering accurate work, supporting stakeholders, and maintaining high standards across all accreditation activities. Essential skills Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience and training. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in handling a wide range of enquiries at all levels and providing excellent customer service. Highly developed relationship management skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft software packages, database management and CRM experience is desirable. Precision and attention to detail; systems approach to problem solving. Excellent organisational, problem solving and interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously, and in a team. Desirable skills Demonstrated understanding of the AMC standards in specialist medical education and training. Demonstrated experience in a complex health and/or education environment.
