Formally established in 1986, Devonport Child Care Centres (DCCC) is an Incorporated Association delivering high quality early learning services in the greater Devonport area. The Organisation provides long day care service at two sites (Elanora and Malangenna) in addition to out of school hours services including school holiday programs delivered by approximately 90 staff. About the role We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher (ECT), to join our Elanora long day care service. Reporting directly to the Service Director, the ECT will provide leadership and support of the curriculum and early learning outcomes, predominantly in the pre‑Kinder space. Working a minimum of 30 - 38 hours Monday to Friday, on a 2 year fixed‑term with the possibility of permanency. Key Responsibilities Build and support the early learning and educational outcomes in the room, through intentional teaching. Work collaboratively with the Educational Leader, Service Director, Education Manager and the Workforce Development Manager. Provide mentoring, leadership and problem‑solving support to the Educators. Provide a whole of Organisation approach to pedagogy and learning environments. Support a whole of Organisation learning focus to support individual children's learning and development goals. Support KPI's to measure the success of outcomes. The successful candidate will have Demonstrated high level communication and relational skills. Proven ability to lead and work within a team environment. Demonstrated high level strategy and problem‑solving ability. Experience and qualifications relevant to the ECT role (Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or Graduate Diploma). Proven and recognised technical skills regarding engagement and teaching in a manner consistent with the vision, values and strategic direction of DCCCI. Selection Criteria Proven and recognised relevant technical teaching skills and qualifications particularly in an Organisation that focuses on early learning. Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within a team to achieve outcomes. Preparedness and ability to contribute to the long term future of the Organisation. Relevant experience and a wide range of skills and regard to teaching and supporting learning and educational outcomes within an Early Childhood Education and Care Organisation with a community focus, using relevant frameworks and curriculum.
