With a market presence in over 130 countries, our client is considered one of the largest operations in the shipping industry globally. As a result of this growth, we are looking to add a new Customer Service Specialist to their team in the western suburbs of Victoria. About the Role We are seeking a hands-on and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist to join our logistics and distribution team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high level service to clients, managing inquiries, coordinating orders, and ensuring seamless end-to-end logistics support. You will play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction, resolving issues efficiently, and supporting operational teams to deliver accurate and on-time results. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries via email, and internal systems. Manage and process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely communication throughout the delivery cycle. Coordinate with warehouse, transport, and distribution teams to ensure efficient order fulfilment and issue resolution. Provide real-time updates on shipment status, delivery timeframes, and service issues. Investigate, resolve, and document customer complaints or service discrepancies. Maintain customer records, order logs, and service reports in CRM and logistics management systems. Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with relevant teams to manage stock availability. Support continuous improvement by identifying service gaps and recommending process enhancements. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention. Assist with administrative tasks, reporting, and other duties as required to support the wider operations team. About You We are looking for someone with: Previous experience in customer service, preferably within logistics, transport, warehousing, or distribution. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset. Proficiency with CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Salesforce desirable. High attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders and entering data. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues independently and efficiently. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
