Transition Officer

About The Role The Transition Officer – Specialist Cohorts supports the delivery of inclusive and impactful orientation and transition experiences for students from specialist cohorts, including International, Swinburne College, and Vocational Education (VE). The role also administers the Elite Athlete program and contributes to the broader Orientation team’s efforts to foster belonging, engagement, and success for all commencing students. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Student Transition, this role works under general direction and requires strong coordination, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills. Key Accountabilities Experience coordinating events or programs, preferably in an educational setting. Experience working with diverse student cohorts, including international and vocational education students. Proven interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across varied stakeholder groups. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative and flexibility. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
