Karibu Farmhouse Pty Ltd (abn : ) located on 103 Victoria St, St George, QLD, 4487 are seeking to employee a full‑time Chef in the café. We are a busy restaurant and require a full‑time Chef immediately. Qualifications AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) Have at least 2 years of full‑time work experience in the nominated occupation Responsibilities Plan menus with Owner / Manager, including daily specials, menus for functions, special occasions, or catering (if required). Demonstrate cooking techniques and assign cooking duties to kitchen staff. Discuss and resolve the food complaints efficiently with the kitchen and wait staff. Prepare and cook food according to the menu and meeting special dietary requirements, including sauces, desserts, etc. Estimate product requirement and costs for following day and on weekly basis. Ensure appropriate regulatory licences are up to date ie Food Safety Supervisor. Arrange for the input of invoices for inventory and stock control. Supervise and prepare roster for the kitchen staff. Monitor all stages of preparation and presentation of the dishes. Ensure food prepared in the kitchen is of highest possible quality and standards. Proper check and maintenance of all kitchen equipment and regular audits of temperature controlled facilities. Regulate temperatures on ovens, grills and other cooking equipment in the kitchen. Have a full operational knowledge of all recipes, standards, portion sizes and presentation style of dishes produced within the kitchen. Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients. Ensure and enforce the health and safety standards are maintained in the kitchen. Applicants that are interested in the position please forward us a copy of your resume.
