PESHAWRI Chef Salary - $80000 plus Superannuation Position: Full Time (38 Hours) Location: 37 Bonwick St, Fawkner VIC-3060 KKA Enterprises Pty Ltd, Trading as PESHAWRI is renowned for its unique Ethnic Pakistani Cuisine. About the role We're looking for a Full-Time Chef for our restaurant in Fawkner, Victoria. We need someone who has some prior experience in preparing Pakistani Cuisine and available to work weekdays and weekends. Role and Responsibilities Plan and design menus, ensuring dishes reflect authentic Pakistani flavours while balancing creativity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Oversee daily food preparation, ensuring all meals are cooked to high standards and presented beautifully. Manage kitchen operations, including coordinating staff, maintaining workflow, and ensuring smooth service during busy hours. Develop new dishes and improve existing ones, ensuring they align with classic Pakistani taste profiles.. Monitor and maintain food quality, guaranteeing consistency in taste, freshness, and hygiene. Ensure proper food storage and stock control, including maintaining inventory, reducing waste, and placing orders when needed. Train, guide, and supervise kitchen staff, helping them improve skills, follow recipes, and maintain kitchen standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment, following all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health regulations. Manage portioning and cost control, making sure dishes are delivered efficiently without compromising quality. Collaborate with management on menu pricing, special promotions, and seasonal offerings. Skills and experience Must have an experience of 3 year minimum in Indian or Pakistani food from Australia or Overseas Applicant must have Qualifications/Certification in Commercial Cookery from Australia or Overseas Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
