Knife Grill Co Pty Ltd looking for a qualified Senior Chef / Chef de partie to join the team at Dunkirk Hotel. We are a bistro and function venue serving decent volume of modern Australian meals. We operate multiple venues across Sydney. This is a busy position and will require an applicant who has previous experience in a similar role and cuisine. We value teamwork and are looking for a qualified and experienced Chef to join our team. To be successful in this role you must have a minimum 2 years work experience in a busy kitchen environment. Completed Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification as well as knowledge of all kitchen operation, quality assurance and OH&S. About the Role Your duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following : Create and prepare high-quality dishes with a focus on innovation and taste to provide unforgettable experience to customers. Oversee kitchen operations and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Oversee kitchen operations and ensure compliance with OH&S standards Maintain proper standards of storage of various food items Manage inventory, check stock level and order supplies with Head Chef. Lead and inspire a team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Train new staff as required. Maintain a clean, hygienic and organized kitchen environment. About you The successful candidate must satisfy the following criteria: Minimum 2 years experience as a chef in a busy restaurant / bistro. Be passionate about the role to provide excellent customer service. Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to work with team and under pressure during busy hours. Culinary degree Certificate IV level or equivalent certification preferred.
