Legal & Documentation Officer (Paralegal) – Trade Finance & Business Lending We're a fast-growing non-bank lender lending organization helping Australian businesses access the capital they need to grow. We pride ourselves on our commercial mindset and commitment to doing things the right way. We're now seeking a Legal & Documentation Officer (Paralegal) to join our team. This exciting, hands‑on role supports both new lending settlements and existing client matters, working closely with external lawyers, financiers, and internal stakeholders. As a key part of our operations team, you'll handle end‑to‑end legal documentation processes — from settlement preparation to enforcement and recovery — ensuring loan and security documentation is accurate, compliant and executed on time. What you'll do Prepare and review loan agreements, mortgages and other security documents. Liaise with external solicitors, borrowers and other financiers to finalize documentation and coordinate settlements. Prepare and lodge caveats or mortgages, PPSR registrations and related instruments. Assist with enforcement, recovery, and legal correspondence as required. Draft demand letters, variation agreements, and deeds of settlement for existing clients. Maintain and update documentation templates and compliance records. About You You're detail‑driven, organized, and confident managing legal documentation in a commercial lending context. You enjoy balancing precision with commercial pragmatism and thrive in a collaborative environment. You'll bring 2+ years' experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or documentation officer in a lender or legal firm. Strong understanding of loan documentation, security instruments and PPSR processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Bonus points for Experience in a legal practice (banking & finance, property, or commercial litigation). Background in non-bank lending, trade finance, or commercial credit. Diploma or Degree in Law or Legal Studies. Why Join Us? Exposure to diverse commercial lending transactions.
