We are seeking permanent Personal Care Assistants to join the care team at our residential aged care home Avonlea in Nhill, VIC. The Position: The successful candidates will join our dynamic and supportive care team, providing competent personal care, support, and assistance to all residents under the guidance of the senior clinical team. The Personal Care Assistant is responsible for delivering personal care and support to residents, ensuring their dignity and independence. Key Responsibilities: Provide personal care to assist residents in maintaining independence and dignity regarding activities of daily living and lifestyle. Attend to meal delivery and refreshments as required. Record observations on assessment charts and document any exceptions to the care plan in the progress notes, reporting such to the EN/RN. Check residents' daily menu requirements. Perform duties delegated by the RN/EN, including general ward duties. Perform other tasks within your skills as directed by the organisation. Requirements Essential: Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire). NDIS check (or ability to acquire). Relevant Certificate III Qualification. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Desirable: Experience in residential aged care. Applicants must meet the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability for working in the aged care industry.
