About the Role Traditionally our business has been centred around hardware installation and upgrade, but more recently we have started working in the satellite space and are looking to add to our team. We have an increasing number of projects based in QLD and are looking for a Brisbane‑based field engineer to assist us with satellite installs there and in regional QLD locations. The role is casual, so you will be engaged with satellite work when projects are taking place and, depending on your overall skillset, you will have the opportunity to be involved in other hardware installation work when not working with the satellite team. You will conduct site surveys, install satellite user terminals and/or antennas on rooftops and handle the associated cabling along with any other tasks that will result in a successful outcome. Skills and Experience Required IT networking experience (router and switch installation) Telco industry experience (technician or rigger) Site survey, installation and commissioning of antennas and/or satellite user terminals (highly desirable) Experience working at heights/on rooftops Essential Qualifications (please do not apply if you do not have ALL of the below) Valid driver’s licence Construction Industry Induction card (White Card) Open Cabling Registration/License Valid Safe Working at Heights certificate EWP licence under 11m (over 11m advantageous) Highly Desirable Qualifications RF Hazard Awareness training First Aid Certificate Key Qualities We Value Ability to work with minimum supervision; reliability is key Willingness to travel to regional and remote areas Team‑player attitude Above‑average customer service skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Flexibility to work within a casual model Pro‑active, self‑starter mindset Vehicle and current driver’s licence Additional Information IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY WORKING FULL‑TIME, THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR YOU.
