Drug and Alcohol Intake Officer Employment Type: Permanent Part TimePosition Classification: Graduate Health Education OfficerRemuneration: $37.49 - $59.89 per hour (+ superannuation + salary packaging options)Location: Negotiable, within Western NSW Local Health District – Find out moreHours Per Week: 19Applications Close: 15 December 2025 – 11:59pm Responsibilities The Drug and Alcohol Intake Clinician is responsible for providing a centralised first point of contact for clients seeking assistance with substance use problems. This includes providing telephone and face‑to‑face services, information and referral services for Drug and Alcohol Services within the Western NSW Local Health District. The role also involves working closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT), clinicians from Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol, as well as several NGOs, other health agencies and local GP’s. The hours of the service are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm, excluding public holidays. You will be well supported and oriented into the role with opportunities to acquire further training.
