Children's Services Assistant Coordinator Salary: $85,415 to $96,138 (dependent on skills + experience) pro rata + 12% superannuation Employment: Part-time (0.8) – 5 Jan 2026 to 31 Dec 2026 Synopsis: The Children’s Services Assistant Coordinator plays a key leadership role in supporting the delivery of high-quality early childhood education and care programs across our sites. This role is ideal for an experienced early childhood professional who is passionate about fostering safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments for children. Responsibilities Support the Senior Centre Coordinator in leading the operations of the 106 place long day care and integrated kindergarten program at Lady Huntingfield Early Learning and Family Services Centre. Oversee the management of the casual relief pool and rostering timetable as a people leader. Support compliance for state and federal funding, ensuring the operations of the service are responsive to the health and wellbeing needs of children and families. Collaborate with the Centre Coordinator, Educational Leader, Family Services Team, and external stakeholders to oversee program development, community engagement, and compliance with Council policies and regulatory standard. Qualifications Tertiary qualification and demonstrated experience in the Early Childhood Education sector, including management of early childhood services. Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Children’s Services Regulations, and relevant legislation. Experience as a people leader, mentoring, coaching and enhancing performance. Competent business management skills, including computer literacy, financial management, and operational oversight, with experience using Qikkids management software. Demonstrated knowledge of referral pathways and supports for families and children experiencing vulnerability. Experience required to backfill the Senior Centre Coordinator on fortnightly absences and periods of leave. Regular additional hours are acceptable beyond the rostered 0.80. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers, families, and stakeholders.
