Multicultural Community Engagement Officer Part‑time (0.4 FTE) position lasting 12 months, based across the Eastern suburbs and at the Ringwood office with the option to work from home. Pay: $42.84 per hour plus 12 % superannuation and salary packaging benefits up to $18,550. Job Description As a Multicultural Community Engagement Officer (MCEO), you will join our innovative multicultural engagement model, working collaboratively with other casual MCEOs, community partners, and a Project Lead to support a range of community engagement initiatives across Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs. This role plays a key part in strengthening relationships with established and newly emerging multicultural communities, increasing access to services, reducing stigma, and supporting community‑led approaches to wellbeing. Responsibilities Build and foster strong relationships with multicultural community leaders, service providers and cultural groups. Coordinate and deliver outreach initiatives, workshops and engagement activities. Support community consultations and facilitate focus groups to understand community needs. Assist the Project Lead in developing and delivering engagement plans tailored to each community. Co‑design and distribute culturally appropriate resources. Promote and participate in community‑focused wellbeing and education programmes. Provide warm referrals and help community members navigate support services. Participate in case discussions, planning and cross‑team collaboration when required.
