Responsibilities – Data Analytics Use data analysis to improve how Energy Bay assets perform in buying, using, and generating energy. Process large datasets from energy systems and market sources. Identify usage trends and growth opportunities. Present insights clearly to non‑technical stakeholders. Inform pricing and tariffs with market analysis. Ensure data accuracy through validation. Model energy performance to improve asset design and profitability. Manage gate meter operations with external partners. Support financial planning through data‑driven forecasting. Demonstrate a strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify patterns, interpret complex data, and develop effective solutions to business challenges. Performance Reporting & Business Improvements Report and visualise asset performance and trends. Prepare internal and external performance reports. Monitor key metrics like energy use and billing. Support financial reviews and compliance reporting. Manage data systems, dashboards, and pipelines. Automate processes and improve energy models. Streamline manual tasks and lead cost‑saving initiatives. Qualifications & Requirements Degree qualified in Data Science, Statistics, Economics/Finance or Engineering fields. At least 3 years of experience in a data analyst role or similar. Strong data analytics and data visualisation experience required: Power BI / Tableau. Proficiency in data analyst tools, such as Excel, Alteryx or Python. Energy retail or embedded networks experience highly valued. Knowledge of energy consumption, metering, billing, and on/off‑market data preferred. Familiarity with the Australian energy market and distributed energy systems (solar, batteries) beneficial. Understanding of energy tariffs, pricing, and customer analytics (segmentation, churn, forecasting) preferred.
