Data Maintenance and Support Officer

Period of Appointment Appointment to the role is on a permanent, flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight). Duties Undertake semi-automated data extraction, transformation and loading activities to support a range of Passenger Transport systems, services, functions and capabilities. Monitor and maintain data quality across Passenger Transport systems, including implementation of manual data correction activities, providing training to system users, and identifying opportunities for improvement of system design or business processes. Undertake detailed reporting activities to enable a better understanding of Public Transport operator performance and customer behaviour trends, which in‑turn allow for data‑driven decision making and enhanced policy development. Conduct targeted data analysis to support fraud investigation and decision making in the various Passenger Transport subsidy schemes and regulated programs. Communicate data insights and findings clearly to a range of stakeholders, including executives and non‑technical audiences, to support understanding and informed decision‑making. Maintain and enhance various public‑facing forms and guidelines, which inform key customer segments, program members and industry partners. Assist with supplementary system administration or business improvements tasks as directed, such as reviewing system log files or updating branch procedures and documentation. Undertake other project work as required that is within the scope of the roles classification. Desirable Requirements Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or experience.
