See yourself in our team The Strategic Relationships team is responsible for all aspects of wholesale client management including deepening existing relationships through up‑selling and cross‑selling, renegotiating existing commercial and contract terms for renewals, commercial analysis of the performance of existing and new business relationships, and measurement and reporting of service levels. The Senior Contracts and Commercial Manager (SCCM) sits within Sales, Trading and Customer Relationships and is responsible for management of the key institutional client relationships within AUSIEX. The SCCM must have the ability to negotiate new contracts, and renewals of existing contracts to ensure commercially attractive terms for AUSIEX. The role is responsible for expanding existing business opportunities and creating and developing robust and strategic relationships with our new and existing customers resulting in opportunities for revenue growth. The SCCM has the overall responsibility for the contract library of relevant artefacts that support our external relationships and must maintain a strong focus on productivity. What Will You Be Doing Strategic - identify and develop broad commercial opportunities with existing customers, leveraging existing capabilities and consistent with the objectives of AUSIEX. Retention - ensure retention of existing clients through consistently high levels of engagement and early identification of commercial risks and opportunities. Commercial - conduct financial analysis, lead commercial discussions and negotiations with existing Wholesale Clients, and provide expertise in commercial aspects relating to new opportunities. Profitability - Engage, drive and support revenue opportunities with new and existing clients that will provide longer term benefits. Influence - you are the interface between our clients and internal stakeholders. Identify customer needs and advocate for them to increase customer satisfaction and promote strong relationships. Manage, develop and influence key senior stakeholders to ensure best outcomes for AUSIEX as well as the Client. Risk - ensure all client relationships are structured and managed in accordance with the AUSIEX risk appetite statement and that contractual arrangements protect AUSIEX against operational and regulatory risk. Contract Management: Provide support and advice (incl drafting) on existing or potential contractual relationships. Ensure we are meeting our obligations under the contract. Manage the governance structure to ensure compliance. Productivity - Promote improvements in commercial and financial processes, systems and controls by leveraging the resources to strengthen organisational practices and increase profitability. Identify and eliminate loss‑making activities and operational inefficiencies. We’d love to hear from passionate people who have Tertiary qualifications in business, economics or business related discipline. Strong commercial acumen and proven experience in contract and commercial management. Strong understanding of the Financial Services industry. Strong understanding of Financial planning, stockbroking, share trading and/or portfolio management desired. Proven relationship and client engagement skills Demonstrated high degree of numeracy skills. Ability to read and understand complex contracts & SLA's. Ability to effectively and professionally present information and respond to questions from senior internal and external management.
