The Opportunity As a Commercial Manager (Pre-Contracts), you’ll be at the front end of major bids and partnerships, providing commercial insight and structure that sets projects up for success. You’ll work alongside operational and legal leaders to ensure risk is managed, opportunities are realised, and tender submissions are commercially sound, competitive, and strategically positioned. What You’ll Be Doing Lead commercial strategy and negotiation across national energy and utilities tenders. Partner with bid, operational, and legal teams to balance innovation, risk, and return. Evaluate complex contract frameworks and advise on compliance and performance mechanisms. Drive the development of commercial governance and risk‑management processes. Support business growth through market intelligence and lessons‑learned initiatives. About You You’re a trusted commercial advisor with a background in major infrastructure, utilities, or energy. You know how to navigate complex bids, influence senior stakeholders, and create solutions that work in both the boardroom and on the ground. Degree qualified in Law, Commerce, Contract Management, or related field. 5+ years’ experience in construction or service‑based contracting. Strong knowledge of commercial models, risk profiles, and performance frameworks. Confident communicator who builds trust and drives outcomes collaboratively.
